Costa Rican Methodist choir to tour Conference
The Methodist School Choir (Coro Juvenil del Colegio Metodista) of San Jose, Costa Rica directed by the maestro Rolando Brenes Rojas will arrive in Nashville on September 24, 2011 for a ten day tour.
We are excited that the choir has chosen Tennessee for their annual concert tour. We are excited that the choir has chosen Tennessee for their annual concert tour. This year the twenty-six member choir will be performing in Giles County and Nashville. The Pulaski District of the TN Conference has sent many mission teams to Costa Rica.
The Choir will be in the Pulaski District of the first five days and then in the Nashville area the last five days. They will be performing and visiting Martin Methodist College, Vanderbilt University, both public and private schools, nursing homes, the Nashville Rescue Mission and churches in three counties.
One of the highlights will happen on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:30 pm at the Pulaski 1st UMC, 200 W. Jefferson Street, Pulaski, TN – http://www.fumcpulaski.com where the Heritage Children's Chorale of the South will have a joint concert with the Costa Rica choir. There is no charge for admission.
The choir will be singing at the Lynnville UMC, 1541 Main Street, Lynnville, TN at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 25th. The choir will also be singing at the Blooming Grove UMC at 8:00 am on the 25th.
The choir will arrive in Brentwood on Thursday morning September 29 , 2011. This year the twenty-six member choir will be performing in Brentwood High School, Heritage Retirement Center, the Grand Old Opry and at all services at Brentwood UMC, 309 Franklin Road, http://www.bumc.net on October 1 and 2. Hope you will be at one of our services next weekend as we welcome this incredibly talented choir to Brentwood.
